Cultural ConneXions aims to promote cultural diversity in Australia through cross cultural , educational and interactive activities and to learning about different cultures in the world.
We are currently developing a program and resources to take into primary schools to stimulate interest, understanding and engagement with different cultures. The program will focus on themes and issues through exploring story, images, visual arts and music and take students on a journey to the five continents of the world and the following cultures:
- Aboriginal Australia
- Africa
- The Arab and Muslim World
- Asia
- Europe
- Latin America
We expect this to be ready to take into schools in 2008.
